This over sized urban lego started off as an idea for Pta Sfatului during an event organized by fatzaDA. unfortunately that didnt happen, but it was either way a good experience as a team.

The main idea for this modular puzzle was to involve people in the life of this micro architectural object, to see it get built, live and disapear, extrapolating this to the life of houses and other constructions around them. This module was intended to leave the structure and enter your home, neatly painted and having addresses of what were once beautiful buildings and are now ruins, as a constant reminder that all around us can become dust unless we act accordingly. once in your home this piece can become anything your imagination makes of it , a coffee table, a wall decoration, just o piece of pink wood in an empty corner, etc.

But, as we said before, Brasov never happened.
so we were stuck with this modular idea in our heads and nowhere to make it happen. fortunately dan from fatzaDa told us about street delivery and we started cutting osb boards.
after 3 hard days we had 220 pieces that were ready to interact with our ideas.

We had to adapt to the new site and event, so we laid off the initial concept and just started building some spontaneous structure. the fact that the people stopped and asked about what we are doing and some of them even did their own creations with the pieces helped a lot. so we just let the pieces change shape and remodel themselves under the actions of pedestrians. like a colorful parasite the shape shifting object stood proudly in the middle of the street for 3 days.

The children were the highlights i guess. they were very happy to play, build, dismember and rebuild. i saw future architects in some (or at least big giant lego fans).

we were sorry we didnt make ourselves quite clear on our intentions, we felt a bit unprepared at the time because we had to make this happen in a very short period of time. i noticed the puzzled looks and heard confused comments. we will do our best to make up for that the next time.
at least, for our very first project as a team, we had a good time and learnt a lot and were very glad to raise questions and get some harmless splinters... all in the name of some form of architecture.
